Language Dorm Tutor Positions
(French, German, Japanese, Spanish)

Language Responsibilities

• Speak one of these languages at a native or near-native level: French, German, Japanese or Spanish
• Conversation Hour Weekly: 1.5 hours: 1 hr discussion & 30 min. planning and vocabulary preparation, open to all students
• Plan/Attend Weekly Cultural Event
• Assist with Coffee Houses (responsible for 1 of every 4 each month)
• Plan a Film/Movie Series for a language (talk about culture/movies/discussion after events, etc)
• Host Tutoring hours: 5 hours a week; Residents only; Keep records of students who use it
• Meet with a faculty liaison once a month

General

• Meet with RLC once per week in fall and bi-weekly in Spring
• Attend training as required
• Attend Area II staff meetings as required

Compensation

• ½ rent and stipend
