Modern Languages has centralized advising for students seeking help in determining where to begin their language studies.
ALIS, IAML and GEML majors must complete an online language portfolio with Career Services and prior to graduation an online exit interview.
Some Scholarships are available in limited supply.
Georgia Tech routinely grants transfer credit for language courses completed at other U.S. colleges/universities.
Students who have been accepted into the International Plan, declared minors in ML languages of study, or are future participants in the LBAT study-abroad progrmas, may submit a permit request to enroll in restricted courses, or an overload request to enroll in a full course.

Students who scored a 4 or 5 on an AP language test, or a 5 or higher on the International Baccalaureate language test, are exempt from Placement Tests. Others are required to take a placement test before enrolling in a course.
