Dr. Frank Pilipp received his PhD in German Literature from the University of North Carolina. He joined the Georgia Tech faculty as an Assistant Professor of German in 1995 and in 2003 was promoted to Professor in the School of Modern Languages. His main areas of research are Contemporary German and Austrian literature and film. He has authored two books (on Martin Walser and Ingeborg Bachmann respectively), edited and co-edited four others, and published more than 25 articles and 25 reviews. At Georgia Tech he has served as a member of IAC's Tenure and Promotion and the Study Abroad Committees. Recently he has taught survey courses on German Film as well as an Honors Course on 'The Burden of the Past' in German and American cinema.
