If you deliberately misrepresent your proficiency level and is found out during the class, you will be forced to withdraw from the course even after you have enrolled in the course.
All questions are given in simplified Chinese, with traditional characters provided in parentheses. If the
questions do not appear in Chinese, please go to the Online Language
Support Center and reconfigure your language options (Step 1).
All students who have Chinese background and intend to enroll in CHIN 1000s or 2000s must take this test.
If you have no formal training for the Chinese language and you are NOT a Chinese heritage speaker (a "Chinese heritage speaker" means that you grew up in an environment in which Mandarin or a Chinese dialect is spoken regularly), there is no need to take this test – enroll in CHIN 1001.
