LBAT in Peru and Spain

Georgia Tech offers one of the most unique programs for US students: Experience two very different cultures in the same language: Study for six weeks in the ancient capital of the Inca empire, Cusco Peru, and hear the voices of indigenous Quechua peoples merging with the bustle of commerce. Then travel to the heart of Spain for four weeks of study in Madrid, a capital famous for its nightlife. Immerse yourself in the cultures of two different worlds united by the same language.

Earn 15 Spanish credit hours at the 3000 level, applicable towards the ALISIAML or GEML major or in partial fulfillment of the International Plan study-abroad requirement.

Learn about current sustainability issues facing Spain in the European Union, and Peru in the Andean Community.

Visit Peruvian and Spanish businesses, NGOs and entrepreneurial cooperatives. Live with a Peruvian family in Cusco and immerse yourself in the language and culture.

Experience a varied cultural program including excursions to the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu and the world's highest navigable Lake Titicaca in Peru as well as Toledo and the Moorish palaces of Granada, Seville and Córdoba in Andalusia, Spain.
