Russian Program

The Russian Program at Georgia Tech offers a three-year course sequence in Russian language, as well as Special Topics courses in literature, culture and film with reading and discussion in English.

Students can pursue a Minor or Certificate in Russian Studies, with electives offered by Modern Languages, International Affairs and LCC.

NEW: Georgia Tech Intensive Summer Russian program in Moscow (pdf)! Seven weeks of intensive advanced language study for students who have completed RUSS 2002. The application deadline is February 15. For class descriptions, information on deadlines, application procedure and payment timetable, click here. Students can augment their study with semester and year-long study and internship abroad programs offered through other institutions. Interested students should consult with Prof. Goldberg.

As of Fall 2003, Georgia Tech also offers online courses in Russian.

A group of students has recently founded the Georgia Tech Russian Club. Those interested in participating should contact club president, Alexey Malykhin. The Russian club hosts biweekly meetings and Russian tables on alternating Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

The Atlanta Russian community has a rich cultural life. Students interested in receiving announcements about upcoming events should send an email to Prof. Goldberg.

Russian Television is now on GTCN! Georgia Tech channel 102 is the popular television channel НТВ!
