Following the Monterrey Tech model for Mexico
and Spanish-speaking countries, engineering and computing
students will be able to participate in an exchange program
for one semester with the Université de Technologie
Compiègne, and will be placed in internships by UTC
or with the help of the School of Modern Languages.
IAML and GEML student programs are being developed
in Paris and Lyon. As in the other programs, students are
encouraged to complete two years of French and the LBAT
program.
The French-American Chamber of Commerce and
the Enterprise Rhône-Alpes
International in Atlanta have limited internships for
Georgia Tech available (not for pay), and we are currently
working with such companies as Schlumberger to establish internship
partners.
If you are interested in working in France, please print, fill out and send the official application form from the French Ambassy Cultural Services. They will help you find an internship and will also take care of your work visa. A minimum stay of six months (maximum one year) is highly desirable. Shorter internships (3 months) are possible but not easy to find. This should be done with the approval of the School of Modern languages in order to get credits for your internship. |
