The Georgia Institute of Technology is pleased to invite your participation as exhibitor, sponsor or program advertiser at the 2006 CIBER Business Language Conference to be held April 5-8 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The theme of this year’s conference is “Matters of Perspective: Culture, Communication and Commerce.”


The annual CIBER conferences join educators and administrators at all levels  K-12 through postsecondary in the fields of foreign language, culture and area studies, business and management, for sessions and workshops on all aspects of internationalizing the curricula of our schools to prepare students for the global marketplace. These conferences typically attract some 300 educators and business leaders, as well as a number of students, and focus on such themes as the following:

  • Improving classroom FL instruction, curriculum development and materials selection   
  • Increasing study abroad, internship and other enrichment opportunities for students
  • Developing interdisciplinary, applied and content-based approaches to FL instruction
  • Fostering links between classrooms and communities, between academic disciplines and
    between schools and business
  • Teaching cross-cultural perspectives in foreign language, business and area studies programs
  • Applying innovative technologies to international business and FL instruction
  • Assessing programs and learning
  • Analyzing current issues of international business and trade
