2006 CALL FOR PAPERS

Select papers presented at the 2006 CIBER conference will be published by special agreement with the journal, Global Business Languages, published by Purdue University. Global Business Languages is an annual refereed publication containing articles on issues related to applied second language and culture studies.

"Matters of Perspective: Culture, Communication and Commerce"

We welcome submissions on such topics as: the teaching of cross-cultural perspectives, the integration of current issues of international business and trade, the development of interdisciplinary, applied, LSP and content-based FL courses and curricula, the application of innovative technologies to international business and FL instruction, as well as study abroad and internship program development and assessment and faculty enrichment. All papers will be refereed.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: May 1, 2006

· One manuscript submission per author or author team. (Abstracts will not be considered)
· All submissions must be in English (examples in the foreign language may be included)
· Length: 15-20 double-spaced pages; 1” margins; 11-pt. font minimum
· Manuscripts must follow MLA style, including in-text citations, endnotes rather than footnotes, alphabetized list of Works Cited.            

Global Business Languages is published annually by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures in conjunction with Purdue-CIBER, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
